What Happens During a Shamanic Healing Session?

Shamanic healing sessions are collaborative processes designed to identify and clear energetic patterns that may be influencing emotional, physical, or spiritual wellbeing.

Each session is unique, but most follow a general structure that allows us to understand what you are experiencing, work with the underlying energy, and integrate the changes afterward.

1. Initial Conversation

At the beginning of the session we spend time discussing what is currently happening in your life. This conversation helps identify the core issue, emotional pattern, or life situation you would like to work with.

The goal is to clarify the energy, intention, or challenge that the healing session will focus on.

2. Determining the Appropriate Healing Method

Once we identify the core issue, we determine which type of shamanic work will be most helpful.

This may include practices such as:

  • illumination
  • soul retrieval
  • cord cutting
  • energy extraction
  • guided meditation
  • shamanic journeying

The specific approach depends on what emerges during the intake conversation.

3. The Healing Process

The session then moves into the healing work itself. In many cases this involves an illumination process, which clears heavy energetic imprints from the luminous energy field.

In some situations we may instead work through a guided meditation or another form of shamanic healing practice depending on what is most appropriate.

This part of the session is typically quiet and meditative.

4. Decoupling and Nervous System Integration

Toward the end of the session we complete a process known as decoupling, which helps the nervous system relax and integrate the energetic changes that occurred during the healing work.

This stage helps stabilize the energy field and allows the body and mind to settle.

5. Closing Conversation

At the end of the session we briefly review what emerged during the healing process. This may include discussing the energetic patterns that were cleared or any insights that arose during the work.

Sometimes simple practices or reflections are suggested to help integrate the changes after the session.

Follow-Up and Integration

Healing work often continues unfolding after the session itself.

A follow-up conversation may take place later to check in on how you are feeling, how the process has integrated into your life, and whether any recommended practices or reflections have been helpful.

No prior experience with shamanic practices is necessary. Sessions are accessible to anyone interested in exploring energetic healing.
